 Today we were learning about how to use this thing that made things in your writing sound like it is actually moving or doing something. Today our teacher told us that we had to write four  four paragraphs instead of writing three, because we had two sessions to do the writing so it was easier to finish four paragraphs rather than juts three. Something that I found easy to do was describing how the things might have felt if they were alive. Something that I found hard to do was add that fourth paragraph because I had already finished three of them, so I had to  change the third paragraph for the storey to make sence.

Recount about going to the 2021 waka ama nationals!

Today we were writing about something worthy of writing.Today I chose to write about when I left my home town and drove up to cambridge New Zealand for the 2021 waka ama nationals. The thing that we were learning was trying to write about something that was worthy of writing about because otherwise our writing could turn out boring and no one would want to read it. Something that I found easy to do was remembering exactly what happened in that exact time,because I only did the nationals this year I it was easy for me to write about. Something that I found hard to do was make the glossary on my published peace of writing.

Homemade paralympic summer mascot!

Today we were learning about how there are summer paralympics and winter paralympics.We were learning about that because the summer paralympics has not long ago finished. Today I made a summer paralympic mascot that I think should be in the 2024 summer paralympics. Something that I found easy to do was make the mascot and another thing is polilining the lion mascot. I found choosing the background hard because I was not sure if I should do a warm colour off google or make one myself. Next time I will add more detail to my mascot and change the background and maybe write about who he is.

Today and throughout the past week we have been learning about the paralympics and what things people used to do in the paralympics. One thing that I learned about during that time was that the paralympics and the olympics are always held in the same country but, the winter paralympics and the olympics are held in a different country. Today we were making a mascot for our create thing and I made a penguin that represents the winter paralympics because it is a penguin and I thought that if I made it a summer penguin it would not make sense. Something that I found easy to do was create the mascot and also make up a name that rhymes with penguin for a boy and a girls name. Something that I found challenging to do is polyline an animated penguin because my hand had to be very steddy while I did the polilining. Next time I will make sure that I make a summer mascot and do an animal that represents summer.

Today we were learning about how many words we can understand in maori,and then to translate them into english words. There are a lot of kids that did not finish the test because there were 100 words in maori that we had to translate. We were also learning about how many words we new in maori. Something that I found easy to do was publish the work and then post it onto here(my blog) because, I only had to screenshot a picture and write some words. I found doing the maori test challenging to do because there were 100 words and also because it took me quite, a long time just to do the test because I did not know some of the words. Next time I will work on doing te reo more, at home so that I can do better on the test and maybe learn how to speak maori.

Born to run slides

                            Born to run!

Today and last week we were learning about what different activities people do at the olympics. We were also learning about what different things you have to do to be a good athlete and coach. Something that I found easy to do was publishing the work that I did for my blog,because I liked the work being on a slide rather than on a google doc. Something that I found hard to do was understanding how the videos and the storey helped us with our learning. Next time I am going to make sure that I watch the videos so that I understand them.

          What is something that I could have done better?

A week about what happens in my bubble.

                                                      A week in my bubble!

Today I was learning about how to recreate my week in lockdown and to make it shorter so that only the key, points of my week have been said. I have not finished it yet because I am still writing down what, happened on all of the other days of my week. Something that I found easy to do was think of the key infomation to what my day was. I found it easy to do that because me and my family plan out our day and so I new that going for, a walk with my family would be the best part of my day. Something that I found hard to do during my time that I sat down and thought about the information that was explaining (by using mote) what I was looking forward to for the next day that I did this. I found it fun doing this activity because me and my family had just come back from my walk so my mind was still fresh about how my walk went.

 Today I was learning about how to write a recount about what I was doing in lockdown. I wrote about when I was doing some exercise by going to a walk around the block. Something that I found easy to do was remember what happened and all of the stepps that I did. Something that I found hard to do was make sure that I had enough descriptive words in my writing. I found it easy to remember what I was doing because I went for the walk the day before I wrote the piece of writing.

                                               Acrostic Poem about spring! 

Today I was writing about spring and what happens in spring. I made an acrostic poem about spring because I don't like rhyming words. Something that I found easy to do was find words that represent the word spring because we are in spring right now. Something that I found hard to do was find a background that looked like it was spring but ,then also make it so that you could still see the words to my poem. I found that acrostic poem fun to do because we don't normally do them and I like writing poems. I think that I could have leveled up by describing a bit more about what spring is and using more descriptive words.

Recount about my favorite food

Today we were learning about how to make writing about our favorite food but also writing a recount about it to. So today we were basically writing a recount about when we had our favorite food and describing it but also,making it sound like we were there eating it at that same time. Something that I found easy to do was add descriptive language in my writing because I had imagined in my head that I was sitting there eating it while I was writing,so that helped me alot during that piece of writing. Something that I found hard to do was write more words that made you readers get the picture about what,I was writing about.

What is one thing that you liked about my writing or could improve on next time?

 Something that we were learning about was that how to make a peace of writing that sounds like your actually there at the time.Something that I found easy to do in that peace of writing was using descriptive language during my writing time.Another thing that I found easy to do was to make the words easy to see when you read it and to not make the font to fancy so that you could not see it.Today something that I found hard to do was to think of words that would make my writing more descriptive but the I found it easy to place those words in the right place for my writing. Next time I am going to make sure that I have more descriptive language in my writing.

What is something that you think I could have done better with my writing?

 Today we were learning about how you could make a piece of writing that explains the picture and other features it has to it.My writing was about a animal that could heal and survive the most painful injuries during its life time.It was a very fun piece of writing to make because you had to think really hard about what features and other things like what the animal even is. During the writing sessions that we have had we made an animal a piece of writing and a platform about what our creature was and like what defining features it had to it.Something that I found easy to do was to talk about all of the cool things about my creature in my writing that I did after the picture and the starting platform. Something that I found hard to do during that time was creating the mythical/fantasy creature because I had to make antlers and then to make wings then to connect them to the body.Today I found making the writing and planning out what I was going to do with the my animal.

What is something that you think I could have done to make my writing or my creature better than what I already have?

Acrostic poem of Tokyo olympics

 Today we were learning about what things we learnt about in the olympics and then we put it into an ocrostic poem. We put all of the good knowlage that we new about the olympics and then made a slide like mine into the poem.Today something that I found easy to do was think hard about what I did learn about the olympics and I think personliy I probibly could have done it better myself. ANother thing that I found easy to do was writing down all of the knollage that I new onto my acrostic poem.

What is something that you think that I could have worked on?

 Today we were learning about what different countries hosted the summer olympics.Something that I enjoyed doing and really found easy to do was searching up on google where the olympics have been held in the different countries. One thing that I found hard to do was zooming in and pinpointing the places on the map. Another thing that I found hard to do was finding the countries that have hosted the olympics so far because there have probably been over 50 countries that have held the olympics in one of there cities, for example Tokyo is hosting the 2020 olympics and Tokyo the city is in the country Japan.

What is something that you think I could improve on next time?

Today we were learning about what different contries around the world that held the summer olympics. There are so many different contries that are having the olympics held in that contrie. Today something that I found easy to was comming up with all of the ideas before starting the animation. Another thing that I found easy to do was making the charicters move and actualy making the animation was the best part because realy fun making animations. Something that I found hard to do was making so many slides because I had to add things to my slide evry time I made another one. Next time if I do this again something that I could have done better would be to make it more quality when I move everything around the place.

The olympic values

We were learning about the three olympic values witch are Exellence,Respect, and Friendship. The three olympic values are always showen or used during the olympics,the athletis and the coaches will use them as well as other values during the time, that they are racing or cherring from the side line. Some things that I found easy to do during that slide were to write down the things that explain the values of the olympics. Another thing that I found easy to do during the time that I did the poster was to write down the sentences because I show some of those values at home,school,and where ever I am. Something that I enjoyed was making the slide with a buddy and learning new things about the values of the olympics. When I did the slide I made it with a buddy.

What is something that I could have done to improve in my blog post?

Tsunami animation

We were learning about... how a tsunami is created and what happens in a tsunami.Then me and my friend Peppa made an animation about how the tsunami can reach all the way into the city pary of the town and destroe a lot of things.

I found it easy to... creat the first page and help poliline the buildings in the backround.I found it easy to poliline the buildings because when i searched the image up the building that i chose was realy easy to poliline.

I found it hard to... move the buildings and to make the buildings look like they were falling down from the tsunami.And I found it hard to move the buildings because when I moved the buildings the windows do not come with the buidings becasue I did them seperetly.

I enjoyed... making the whole animation because before me and my partner started doing the animation we planed out what we were going to do first.It was realy easy to do that because as soon as we started planing things just started popping up in our brains.

Nex time I will... make sure that when we do the water for the tsunami that we try to make it look like a tsunami.

 

What to do before,during and after a tsunami.

We were learning about... Tsunamis and what to do in a tsunami.We were doing what to do in a tsunami what to do during a tsunami and after a tunami.

I found it easy to... change the font for the words becasue i did not have to change the colour of the words because of the colours from my backround.

I found it hard to... write what was in my head for the after paragragh because i had woken up early and started to do that but i was to tyired so i went back to bed.

I enjoyed... creating the backrounds and chandging the fonts of my writing.I found it easy to change the backrounds because i have used them in other creations that i have done.

Next time I will... write more and add evedence for why i chose all of those things. I found it dificult to put evedince on my writing because i did not know what to write on google to get that evedence.

 

Should we be prepared for a natrual disaster?

 We were learning about...  How to perswade someone into doing something.Then we wrote a piece of writing about should we be prepared for a natual disaster.And the agument was if you wanted to be prepared or if you did not.

I found it easy to... do the pubilishing and create all the slides to pubilish.It was easy to pubilish because all i had to do was ctrl c v my writing from my draft and then into my slide.Then i changed the font and the backround.

I found it hard to... Create the slide and pubilish it because when i came back to school there was only a little time left to do my pubilishing.

I enjoyed... creating the slide writing and creating the backrounds and changing the fonts on the writing.

Next time I will... try to add more wrighting to it and add more resones why i sad that we should be prepared for a natrual disaster.

Follow up

 We were learning about... How this ship named the Rena had crashed and it had lots of oil on it.Then all of the oil spilt into the sea and killed sea birds and marina life.And at the end we had to make a poster about how bad the plastic and rubbish is.

I enjoyed... making the poster and poliling the turttle.It was easy to polyline the turtle because the picture was easy to polyline and the shapes on it the turtle were easy to do.

I found it easy to... remember how the storey went and then to put it in my own words. And it was easier to remember the storey because i read it over and over again.

I found it hard to... spell all the words right and to come up with what i was gonna do for my poster.

Next time I will... Make my poster my interesting because i thought it was a bit plane with what i did.

Book reveiw

I was learning about...How a ship named the Rena had crashed into astrolab reef and the Rena was carring more than 1700 tons of fuil oil.The Rena had also spilt all of that fuil oil into the sea and could have killed lots of marina life,and it could have killed lots of sea birds because when the birds hang around,the water the oil must be so strong and they could have died.

I found it easy to... retale the storey and put all of the sentences into my own words.It was easy to retale the storey because i rad the book a least three times and everything was stuck in my head.

I found it hard to... have no spelling mistakes and to het all of the words right.

I really enjoyed... reading the book because it was very interesting and quit fun to read.

Next time i will... try to understand the book and fully know what the auther is trying to tell us.

Volcano animation

We were learning about... How a volcano erupted and how the lava flows all around teh volcanos when it erupted.

 I found it easy to... do the animation and poliline the volcano

I found it challenging to ... make the lava come out of the volcano and try to put in the shape and colour of it.

 Next time I will.. try to add more things to it and make the volcano bigger.

Book review

 

We were learning about... How a volcano erupted and what happend in the book was not what it seemed like.

 I found it easy to... awser the quistons in full sentenes and fiuger out in my brain what i was doing.

earthquake emergency kit

 I was learning about... what to do in an earthquake and then made a poster of what we needed in our emegency kit for earthquakes.

I found it easy to... come up with what i was doing for my poster and what things i should put on it.

I found it hard to... Find all of the shapes to do it and to poliline the cups and plates

I really enjoyed... making the poster and coming up with what i was doing for myposter

Next time I will... try to make more spacre on the drawing and add more things to it.

Earthquake animation

 

I was learning about... earthquakes and what happenes in an earthquake,we were also learning about like how it moves the ground and where it happens all around the country.

I found it easy to... make all the slides and had fun poliling the bulding and making it crash down.

I found it hard to... think of what is was going to do for the next slide.

I really enjoyed...making the animation and doing all the backrounds and making the word art.

Next time I will ... try to add more slides to the animation.

I found it easy to... Do the book review and talk about what types of things I liked about the book and what happend in the book.I also found it easy to read the book.

I found it hard to... rember what happend in the book and then write it down.

I enjoyed... Reading the book and looking at the paintings in the book and i like the big lego wall from the vidio.
